Patrick Mitchell, PsyD

Patrick Mitchell, PsyD received his Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the American School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University in Washington, DC. He completed his pre-doctoral internship at the Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA.

Dr. Mitchell specializes in psychological assessment and the treatment of school-aged youth, young adults, and families. His previous experience includes working with children and adolescents in school, inpatient, and outpatient settings. He has worked at the Psychiatric Institute of Washington, the Treatment and Learning Centers/Catherine Thomas School in Rockville, MD, the Suburban Hospital Adolescent Addiction Treatment Center in Rockville, MD, and the Regional Institute for Children and Adolescents (RICA), a community-based, public residential, clinical, and educational facility serving children and adolescents with severe emotional disabilities in Rockville, MD. He also previously worked at The Bethesda Group Psychological Services for nine years. Additionally, prior to obtaining his doctorate in psychology, Dr. Mitchell taught elementary, middle, and high school for a decade.

Dr. Mitchell is one of few clinicians nationwide who has been intensively trained by Behavioral Tech in dialectical behavior therapy for children (DBT-C). He has previously been intensely trained in DBT to work with both adolescents and young adults, while he has also attended DBT training for the treatment of substance abuse disorders. Additionally, his therapy interests with youth and young adults include cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) for anxiety and mood disorders, disruptive behavior disorders, coping with the effects of divorce, Asperger's Disorder/High Functioning Autism, ADHD, and young adult transitions.

Dr. Mitchell also has broad experience with psychological and psycho-educational assessments with children, adolescents, and adults. He participated in a neuropsychological assessment training elective while a pre-doctoral intern at the Milton Hershey School. Based on his strong background in psychological and educational assessment, Dr. Mitchell supervised psychological assessment for pre-doctoral interns from 2010-2015 while a staff psychologist at RICA-Rockville. Additionally, he was the assessment coordinator from 2016-2020 at The Bethesda Group prior to starting PsychBethesda in March 2020.




Zeke Strober, LCSW-C

Zeke Strober, LCSW-C received his Master of Social Work (clinical) from the University of Maryland. Additionally, Zeke earned a Master of Science (psychology) from Villanova University following his undergraduate studies at Muhlenberg College. Zeke’s clinical experience includes working with youth and their families as well as young adults, whom he has provided services for in academic, residential, and outpatient settings; he has also worked with youth and adults involved in the social services and justice systems. Prior to focusing on his clinical practice, Zeke’s wide-ranging experiences included working as the Lab Coordinator for the Infant Language Project (U. of Delaware), Director of Research for the Canine Health Initiative Research Project, and serving as an educator and ABA professional with neurodiverse populations and their families through the Ivymount School and Programs.

Zeke’s clinical focus includes providing Cognitive-Behavioral based treatments to adolescents and young adults (and their families) struggling with anxiety, anger, depression, substance abuse, interpersonal and romantic relationship, transitional and independent living difficulties, and other life challenges. Zeke has been a Certified Child and Adolescent Trauma Professional, and completed trainings in Trauma-Informed CBT, CBT for Anxiety, DBT for At-Risk Adolescents, and Seeking Safety: A Treatment for PTSD and Substance Abuse. Furthermore, Zeke has served as a member of clients’ holistic treatment teams, often working with other clinicians, educators, and community partners to help ensure the most informed, effective quality of care is provided to those he works with.




Allie Isakowitz, Registered Psychology Associate

Allie Isakowitz is a Registered Psychology Associate in the state of MD. She received her Master of Arts in clinical psychology at Montclair State University after receiving her undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of Delaware. Allie focuses on evidence-based treatments, specifically cognitive-behavioral therapy. Her clinical experience includes individual therapy, parent coaching, DBT group skills classes, and psychological assessments. Her background is primarily in DBT and CBT and she works with individuals ranging from age six through adulthood. She has worked in outpatient and partial hospitalization levels of care in both private practice and community-based settings. She has extensive training in DBT, including a Behavioral Tech certification in the DBT Comprehensive Course. She is trained in standard DBT for both adults and adolescents. She is also qualified and receives specialized supervision in providing DBT for children (DBT-C), which is designed for families with children ages 6-12.

Allie’s therapy interests include anxiety and mood disorders, emotion dysregulation disorders, and coping with life transitions. She also enjoys working with loved ones of individuals who experience pervasive emotion dysregulation to support them in their environment. She has additional training in providing LGBTQIA+ and neurodiverse friendly treatment.
